Carraig Bríste, Enniscorthy wins another Learning Story Award from Early Childhood Ireland for their story entitled “My Grandad has Christmas Trees – Elise’s Christmas Story”
Orlagh Doyle and the team at Carraig Bríste, Templescoby, Enniscorthy are the proud winners of an Early Childhood Ireland Learning Story Award for their story entitled “My Grandad has Christmas Trees – Elise’s Christmas Story”.
The story centres around a kind invitation from Elise’s Grandad Isaac which was gratefully accepted by the children of Carraig Briste, as they went to choose a Christmas Tree from his farm.  The excitement of the children was very evidently portrayed in this learning story as they saw the whole process of choosing, wrapping, transporting and decorating their tree.  What a lovely memory to make with friends at preschool.
The story which is published on www.earlychildhoodireland.ie will be showcased at an Early Childhood Ireland Awards Night in UCD on 31st March recognising and celebrating the wonderful work and learning approach of early childhood professionals which is child centred and play based, with the emphasis on a quality experience for the child.
